Laurens District 55 High School (LDHS) will host a “Fall Sports Physical Night” on Thursday, June 25, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the main gymnasium at LDHS. The LDHS athletic department has partnered with local healthcare providers to offer fall student-athletes athletic physicals for the 2020–2021 school year.
The “Fall Sports Physical Night” is open to Laurens County School District 55 (LCSD 55) fall athletes in grades 7–12 participating in cheerleading, cross country, golf, football, tennis, and volleyball. Student-athletes are required to bring the Preparticipation Physical Evaluation (PPE) form filled out and signed by a parent with them to the physical. The PPE form can be found on the athletic website at laurensathletics55.com under the “more” tab. The cost is $25 (cash only).
To continue practicing social distancing, LDHS is asking parents and guardians to remain in their vehicles. Please use Gate 2 (electric side gate) to enter the campus, and athletes should proceed to the lobby entrance of the main gymnasium. Athletes should bring their signed and filled out PPE, $25 cash, and a mask with them. Before entering the facility, a mask, a temperature check, and screening questions are required. Once checked in, a mask must be worn at all times inside the facility.
A copy of the athlete’s completed physical will be made and turned in to the athletic trainers before leaving the facility. All athletes must have a current physical to participate and try out for an athletic program by July 1, 2020. If they do not have a current physical in by July 1, 2020, they cannot participate until one has been turned in.
