While we await the return of spring sports, we invite you to meet some of our LCSD 55 senior spring student-athletes. Our Raiders have taken some time to answer questions to allow us to learn more about them. We are proud of these student-athletes’ preparations and commitment to their teams. Please meet our spring senior student-athlete, Cassidy Plaia.

How long have you been playing your spring sport for LDHS?
Six years on the Varsity Softball team
What is your favorite memory of your sport?
My favorite memory would have to be winning region a few years in a row.
What are your plans after graduation?
I am committed to playing softball at Spartanburg Methodist College and major in psychology.
If you could have dinner with any person.past, or present, who would that be and why?
I would have dinner with Elvis Presley because I think he’d be a cool guy to sit and speak with.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would travel to California.

What does being a part of Raider Athletics mean to you?
Being apart of the Raider Athletics is very special to me. I’ve been apart of it since the 7th grade, and it’s helped shaped me into not only the ballplayer I am today but also the person I am. It’s always been a huge part of my life.
Is there anyone you would like to thank for helping you during your athletic career?
There’s so many I would love to thank but to shorten my list, I would love to thank my whole family especially mom and dad; along with Coach Clark, Coach B, and Coach Smith, every single one of these people have helped me in some way and have pushed me always to be the best I can be.
