While we await the return of spring sports, we invite you to meet some of our LCSD 55 senior spring student-athletes. Our Raiders have taken some time to answer questions to allow us to learn more about them. We are proud of these student-athletes’ preparations and commitment to their teams. Please meet our first spring senior student-athlete, Mary-Frances Mackenzie Ward.

Track and Field

How long have you been playing your spring sport for LDHS?
This is my first year.
What is your favorite memory of your sport?
The meet we just had at Eastside. I loved being able to spend all day with my team and compete in my events as well as cheer on everyone else.
What are your plans after graduation?
To attend the University of South Carolina and major in Exercise Science.
If you could have dinner with any person.past, or present, who would that be and why?
Deshaun Watson. He is my favorite football player, and he seems like a pretty cool guy.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to go to France or India.

What does being a part of Raider Athletics mean to you?
Being apart of Raider Athletics has meant the world to me throughout the past four years. It has been a family to me, and I will truly miss it after I graduate.
Is there anyone you would like to thank for helping you during your athletic career?
I would like to thank my parents as well as all of my coaches and teammates from each sport. They have all played a vital part in helping me to become the person and athlete that I am today.
