Laurens Raider football will open their season at home against cross-county rival Clinton High School. While the team and fans will not be looking past the Red Devils, they are making plans for the second week of the season, when the Raiders will make the long trek to Myrtle Beach for the Friday night festivities. Last season, the Raiders fell 42-6 against the Myrtle Beach High Seahawks. The Raiders are optimistic about this year’s rematch in this non-conference game on Friday, September 6, 2019. They enter their second year of work in a new offensive scheme and return Seniors Ryan Campbell at Quarterback and Duane Martin at Running Back.
For Raider fans who want to make the trip, the Captain’s Quarters Beach Resort has set up deals on their hotel rooms and suites just for the family and friends of the team.
