Game Recap

The Raiders were outgunned in the first half of their matchup with Chapman. The Raiders tried to keep it close with a Devon Hubner field goal from 23 yards out and a 34 yard TD run by Duane Martin (who ran for a total of 90 yards on 9 carries for the night). With 8:00 minutes left to go in the first half, the Raiders were only trailing 10 – 14. With the time remaining in the first half, Chapman was able to reel off five (5) unanswered scores and and went in at halftime with a 49 – 10 lead and never looked back.

Troy Dendy still ran for 122 yards on 21 carries, while Carado Ray (6 for 32) and Armani Todd (2 for 8) also got in the game. Duane Martin and Carado Ray had the other two scores for the Raiders in the fourth quarter and Devon Hubner was, once again, perfect on extra points for the night. The Raiders will be traveling to Irmo on Friday, September 8th, for another non-region match-up.
