Game Recap

LDHS Boys Soccer kicked off their first game of the season with a scrimmage against Clinton High School. 2 minutes into the game, Clinton scored a goal from a corner kick that beat goalkeeper Jairo Cruz on the near post. Five minutes later, LDHS midfielder Jaime Jauregui received a pass from Rigo and dribbled past defenders to put the ball in the net and tie the game 1-1. On the 23rd minute, Clinton answered back with another goal from an attack on the right wing. They crossed the ball and scored off of a volley in the box. In the 25th minute, LDHS left back, Aldo Perez, received a red card for a hard tackle on the left side (Laurens was down to 10 men). In the 34th minute, LDHS midfielder was dribbling in the box and was fouled for a PK. Oscar Diaz stepped up and put the ball in the net to tie the game 2-2. Throughout the second half, both teams created many chances, but failed to finish.
